But, I am dumbing myself down with ignorance,

When I look towards the sea,
The continuum - it breaks down when I force myself to leave,
I'm trailing off the grid now,
Because I've had enough of this,
But I know that if I leave I'll start to miss,
The butchering of time that left me unaware,
Of life out there,
I hear the gravediggers hard at work,
I listen to the soft sound of shovel lifting dirt,
And underneath the moonlight I can really start to see,
A figure standing up and shaking off debris,
And I can't help but think it looks a lot like me…
She reaches out to touch my face,
She whispers we must leave this place,
It's time for you to see,
That what you feared was only me,
And in the moonlight,
We will both be set free.
'Cause this is all a dream.
With a stranger by my side,
I look for all the shadows and the vibrant exit signs,
I feel it on my toes now but my legs are fast asleep,
